A car can’t run without its electronics

If you’re lucky, it’s just a blown fuse but without an electrical or diagnostics check by a professional garage you may still have electrical faults

A modern car is full of electronics and electrical components and every now and again something may fail. Maybe the electric windows have stopped working, maybe it’s the wiper motor, the rear window heater, the seat warmers, the car radio, one of the loudspeakers, a bulb in the headlights, the fog lights, the tow bar plug or the electric sun roof.

Whatever is wrong, it usually requires repair, replacement or a diagnostics check to see whether a fuse has blown or whether the problem goes deeper.

Chip tuning refers to changing or modifying an EPROM chip in a car’s or other vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU) to achieve better performance, whether it be more power, cleaner emissions, or better fuel economy.

This was done with early engine computers in the 1980s and 1990s. Today, the term chip tuning can be misleading, as people will often use it to describe ECU tuning that does not involve swapping the chip. Modern ECUs can be tuned by simply updating their software through a SPECIAL interface, such as OBDII. This procedure is commonly referred to as engine or ECU tuning. ECUs are a relatively recent addition to the automobile, having first appeared in the late 1980s.

As technology advanced, so did the electronics that go into cars. The ECU in a modern automobile, together with advanced engine technology, makes it possible to control many aspects of the engine’s operation, such as spark timing and fuel injection, Throttle, Valve timing, Valve lift, and many others parameters. The ECU may also control electronic throttle control (drive-by-wire), valve timing, boost control (in turbocharged engines), ABS, the automatic transmission, speed governor(if equipped), and the electronic stability control system.

We have been doing remaps for a nearly decade now, using state of the art flashers Including MagPro X17 from MagicMotorsport, CMD BDM, FG Technology Galletto4 and the bees knees AVDI by Abritus 72.

Using the best in the business MAP editor Swiftech from VC Powerteam ( a very expensive software  editor) pushes us as leaders in and very exclusive range of ECU tuners being capable to tune the latest 2015 EDC 17 or MED 17 with anti tuning protection whether a tuning, DPF removal, DTC removal, EGR Off , Hot Start problem ,AdBlue removal, Flaps removal, MAF removal, EGR removal, Lambda removal, Speed Limiter removal is required.A New StartStop Disable service has been launched in 2015 for customer that spend loads of driving time in traffic. At the moment this is possible only on VAG and BMW cars but  this is work in progress and new models and makes added all the time.

We custom remap every vehicle we work on. Beware some Remapping or chip tuning companies who are only able to offer a generic file originally made from another vehicle.

All our remaps will be tailored specifically for you and your vehicle. The Original VIN number will remain in the ECU and so will the ECU hardware and software numbers. We are specialists in ECU Remapping but can also offer other ECU related services such as Speed limiter removal and DPF Removal.

Bosch EDC17 and MED17 ECU’s with antitunning protection tricore processors are now able to be tuned.

These include all 2009 on models from VAG group, BMW, Honda,KIA,etc.

We offer several Custom Remapping options to customers as follows:

Remapping Turbo Diesels:

Power = Up to 30% increase in BHP, Torque and increase in mpg on motorway cruising.
All Round = Up to 20% increase in BHP, Torque and increase in MPG.
Economy = Up to 15% increase in BHP, Torque and 5-20% increase in MPG. (% Outcome depends on vehicle, load, road type and driver type)
Remapping Turbo Petrols:
Power = Up to 25% increase in BHP, Torque and increase in mpg on motorway cruising.
All Round = Up to 15% increase in BHP, Torque and increase in MPG.
Economy = Up to 10% increase in BHP, Torque and up to 10% increase in MPG. (% Outcome depends on vehicle, load, road type and driver type).

Remapping Petrol and Diesels:
